An Android app that records the sounds of your bedroom all night.
Nothing leaves your phone. There is no account and no server. The published app does not hold Android's internet permission at all, so the operating system itself refuses any attempt to send a recording anywhere.
What it does
Baku Sleep does not record the whole night. It records the moments that stand out from the room around them — a snore, a cough, a lorry going past — and keeps each one as a short clip you can play back the next morning. Between the clips it keeps a continuous measurement of how loud the room was, which is what draws the shape of your night.
It is not a medical device. It does not detect, diagnose, monitor, treat or prevent anything, and it does not measure your breathing, your heart rate or your sleep stages. It records sound in a room and tells you what it recorded.
